Marvel Hall, Whitley Bay
It was such a pleasure to care for Louie, aged 4, and Nula, aged 1, during their parents' wedding party at Marvel Hall, Whitley Bay. Although their parents had officially married two years earlier, this special celebration gave family and friends, many of whom had travelled from the South of England, the opportunity to come together and celebrate their marriage.
One of my favourite parts of this booking was meeting Louie and Nula before the wedding. During our pre-wedding visit, Louie was so excited to tell me all about the camera he was planning to bring to the celebration. It was such a lovely conversation, and on the wedding day he couldn't wait to show me his camera as soon as I arrived. Having already built that connection meant he felt comfortable with me straight away, making the transition so natural and relaxed for both him and his parents.
I spent three hours ensuring both children felt safe, happy and included throughout the celebrations. Most of my time was spent with Nula, keeping her entertained through play, enjoying plenty of snacks, and creating a quiet, cosy area within the venue where she could take a break from the excitement whenever she needed. We also spent time outside, giving her the opportunity to crawl safely, explore and regulate before heading back inside to enjoy the celebrations. Louie loved spending time with his family and joining in with the party, and I was there to support him whenever needed. It was a privilege to help their parents fully enjoy such a meaningful celebration, knowing their little ones were happy, settled and having just as much fun. 🤍
